Characters
Harry Potter is a wizard who escaped the attack of Lord Voldemort ("You Know Who") with only a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt. Harry was just a baby when this happened. Lord Voldemort killed both of his parents who died trying to save Harry. With no other magical relatives, he went to live with his muggle uncle, aunt, and cousin, the Dursleys. They tell Harry next to nothing about his past, and what they do tell him, are lies. When he finally gets to Hogwarts, he finds himself destined for greatness. Harry is a Parselmouth (which means he can talk to and understand snakes) and was put in the Gryffindor house.
Ron Weasley is a red-head pureblood, and also Harry's best friend. Ron is the youngest of six boys in his family. Ron met Harry on Hogwarts Express in their first year at Hogwarts, and they almost immediately became friends. Ron feels like he has alot to live up to, having five brothers, and his family isn't exactly rich either. Sometimes it gets him down but Harry and Hermione always cheer him up.
Hermione Granger is from a non-magical family and one of the smartest girls at Hogwarts. She has a cat named Crookshanks. Hermione loves to do work and study. While being very smart, she sometimes bends and breaks rules at Hogwarts with Harry and Ron. But she makes up for that by earning many points for Gryffindor.
Draco Malfoy is Harry's arch-enemy student at Hogwarts. Malfoy is very mean towards Harry and his friends and calls Hermione a mud-blood because she is muggle born and he is a pure-blood. Malfoy bought his way onto the Slytherin Quidditch team in his second year which made Harry mad and Ron furious.
Albus Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts and is a very powerful and noble wizard. Dumbledore has a phoenix names Fawkes and has a long, silvery beard. He believes in fairness and is gentle. He defeated Grindelwald, a dark wizard, in 1945. Dumbledore is the only person Voldemort fears.
Lord Voldemort is an evil wizard, more commonly known as "You Know Who" by magical people. He killed James and Lily Potter when Harry was only one year old. Harry escaped from him that night but no one knows how. Dumbledore thinks Voldemort accidentally gave Harry some of his power.
